The Challenge
So, as with many of my clients coming to me for website services, the existing website was out-of-date. In addition, there was no visual hierarchy — nothing to tell the visitor what was really important information and what that visitor should do. The Home Advisor badges are great, but, really, Home Advisor doesn’t truly carry a lot of weight. And, is that the very first and foremost thing you want to tell a website visitor? That’s visual hierarchy.
The Solution
I spiffied up the website, added more sparkles (e.g. graphic design.), and gave the site a nice flow and a CTA call-to-action. To head off any reluctance in being committed, visitors are told in a very large headline, “Free In-Home Estimates” — well, that’s nice! No one provides personal service anymore, do they? Website visitors are guided toward picking up the phone, with the very large “Call Us” and phone number, and the cute telephone graphic that ties in nicely with the fun, sparkly, not-to-serious feel we were going for.
Special Features
Custom Forms
Forms, specifically Contact Form 7, is used to take specific information as an employment application. Applicants can upload their resume, as well. In the dashboard, all submissions can be viewed and downloaded, just in case there is ever any email snafu and an application for some reason doesn’t get delivered.
Email Capture
Email capture allows website visitors to add themselves to the Always Sparkle email list to stay up-to-date on news and special offers. New emails are automatically fed into Mailchimp, which kicks off an automatic welcome email and updates the master list to include all new subscribers in the next email send.
