The Challenge
The existing website, besides being outdated, did not project the caliber of work which W.R. Flater General Contractor, LLC is capable of, nor was it attracting the types of clients or projects they prefer to work with. In addition, the portfolio images were not images of their own work, but stock photography. Stock photography has it’s place, but not in a portfolio: a portfolio is assumed to be your own work.
The Solution
The new website is clean, expansive, modern. Stock images are still used, to communicate, visually, they types of projects the company could do and inspire website visitors to visualize their own home renovation projects. A full portfolio of actual jobs reassures the potential client that this company is legit, has completed complex projects, and actually has the range of broad services that they claim.
Special Features
Portfolio
All images from a single project are displayed together on a single page so that they website visitor can take it all in at once, rather than annoyingly have to click, click, click through who knows how many images. They can see the “big picture” and then also click on any image to see a larger image. Each individual project page visually offers the entire portfolio at the bottom, so that a visitor can easily get through all of the project pages, without having to go back or start from the beginning again.
